Donald Trump LOSES to Kamala Harris in key Florida county he actually voted in

Donald Trump has officially won the US election in an historic comeback that saw Ms Harris - previously the favoured candidate - fail to capture a single swing state

Despite celebrating a nationwide victory and a return to the Oval Office, Donald Trump actually looks set to lose to Kamala Harris in the key Florida county that is home to his famous Mar-a-Lago compound and the location where he cast his vote in the US election.

The ex-President has been declared the formal winner of the election after Ms Harris, his Democrat challenger, was quickly denied a route to victory in the electoral college. But she has managed to eke out a minor coup on Mr Trump's home turf in Florida, a former swing state the Republican party has held in a political vice grip since Mr Trump entered office for the first time in 2016.

Recent results show that Ms Harris has managed to make some inroads with several counties, with nearly half a dozen breaking in his favour. Among those that shifted in her direction this year is the Mar-a-Lago, the wealthy resort in Palm Beach on the coast of the now Republican bolthole where Mr Trump voted.

Ms Harris is projected to win Palm Beach County by a tiny margin of just under 10,000 votes with nearly 95 percent of the results counted as of Wednesday morning. The results give her 49.9 percent of the vote, a 0.7 advantage and 5,511 ballot advantage over her rival.

The lead may well grow, or slim, in the hours to come, as they could in several other counties that seem primed for a Harris win. According to CNN's current polling data, the Democrat candidate also has an edge in Orange, Leon, Gadsden, Broward and Alchua Counties.

She has 55.9 percent, 60.3 percent, 64.7 percent, 58 percent and 59.4 percent of the vote in those counties, respectively. While these are notable, the victories are largely insignificant, as Mr Trump and other candidates on the Republican ticket have managed to scoop every single other county.

Mr Trump has also managed to capture a larger than expected number of US states, including every single swing state, by larger than expected margins. Georgia, North Carolina, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin have all been declared for Mr Trump, and the remaining three, Michigan, Arizona and Nevada, have all been ruled to be Trump-leaning.
