A heart-warming comment from Prince Harry about his niece and nephew, Princess Charlotte and Prince George, has resurfaced more than five years on.

Things may be sour at the moment, but that wasn't always the case for the Duke of Sussex who displayed his love for other Prince William's children back in 2017. Back then Harry was much closer to his brother and sister-in-law, the Prince and Princess of Wales, and was over the moon when they started their family in 2011 and tied the knot.

In July 2013, William and Kate welcomed their first child, Prince George, and this was followed by the birth of Princess Charlotte in May 2015. Three years later, in April 2018, Prince Louis, who has often been the star of the show when making public appearances, was born.

A year after Louis's birth, the Duke made a simple, yet loving, five-word comment about Charlotte and George. He said they were "the most amazing things ever". He told royal author Angela Levin in 2017, as reported by the Daily Mail: "The reason I am now fifth is because of my nephew and niece and I could never wish them away. They are the most amazing things ever."

Elsewhere, the duke opened up about having his own children, adding: "I am determined to have a relatively normal life and if I am lucky enough to have children they can have one too. We don’t want to be just a bunch of celebrities but instead use our role for good."

Since that time, Harry has stepped away from his role as a senior working royal alongside Meghan Markle in 2020, the Daily Express reports. They both moved to the US where they are currently living. They share two children together, Prince Archie, born in May 2019 and Princess Lilibet, born in June 2021.

Elsewhere, an expert has warned the Sussexes are in for a tough dilemma with Christmas approaching. Since dramatically quitting their royal roles, the Sussexes and their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, have spent the festive season in the United States. But with the end of the year and Christmas fast approaching, speculation is mounting about where they will spend the holidays in just a few months' time.

No doubt the Royal Family will be heading to Sandringham with King Charles for their traditional Christmas celebrations, but it remains to be seen if Harry and Meghan will score an invite. Meanwhile, it has been rumoured that with Harry reportedly spending time staying with his uncle Earl Spencer on his secret visit to the UK to attend a family funeral - a Christmas invitation could be forthcoming from him.
