The bedtime habits of Donald Trump are not likely something many would hazard to imagine, but in a peculiar and candid interview with Fox News' 'The Five', former First Lady Melania Trump revealed something of her husband's nightly routine, including what he wears to bed.

Although she rarely appears alongside her husband at public campaign events, with a new book to promote, Melania Trump took to Fox's table of talking heads on Tuesday for a flattery-laden interview, where she dropped some bedroom details while under some light pressure - revealing her private husband's bedtime routine.

While then-President Trump was in the White House, he claimed to only sleep for four or five hours a night, as many world leaders have in the past. However, sources in his own administration leaked to the US media that Donald would often wake up at 6am and watch cable news while tweeting until midday.

Now a convicted felon after being found guilty on 34 charges of falsifying business records, the Fox hosts asked the 54-year-old former model about Donald Trump's sleeping routine, pressing Melania on the important issue of bedtime.

"He doesn't sleep much," Melania began to say, before adding "he does of course." Needling down to the issue, Greg Gutfeld then followed up by asking: "Does he wear pajamas?"

Horrifyingly, Melania responded by telling the Fox audience, "no," while laughing. Sensing something more, Gutfeld asked, "What does he wear when he sleeps, Melania?"

Intimating that the answer was unspeakable, Melania did a zipping motion across her mouth, amid an interview where she struggled to say much at all. But the media and Donald-shy Melania was keen to share more about her upcoming memoir with a similarly tight-lipped title - simply, 'Melania'.

When asked by the table of Fox journalists if there was something nice about Donald Trump that the public "should know," Melania told them: "He's treating everybody equal. Man or woman. He could be tough on a woman. He could be tough on a man."
