Downing Street has slapped down Elon Musk's dad with a brutal three-word response after he called for Keir Starmer to resign within the next three months.

Businessman Errol Musk said the PM "needs to resign" as he insisted there is nothing he can do to build a bridge with his son Elon Musk. Asked if Mr Starmer was doing to quit, the Prime Minister's official spokesman responded bluntly: "He is not." He added that the PM was looking forward to delivering on his missions for the country.

In an interview with LBC's Andrew Marr on Wednesday, Errol, who is said to be largely estranged from his son, ranted that the UK needs another election as he claimed "four out of five votes never got cast". He said Mr Starmer should put himself to the public again and ask if they want to vote for him, despite winning a huge victory at the general election in only July.

Asked if he believes there is nothing that Mr Starmer and the Labour government could do to improve relations with his son Elon, Errol replied: "No, he needs to resign. He needs to resign before four years, I think he needs to resign in the next three months so you can have another election. And if they have another election, because I believe in the last election from something I understand from talk radio, that four out of five votes never got cast or something to that effect.

"So, if you have another election, he [Keir Starmer] can put himself up and say, ‘I’m again putting myself up, Keir Starmer, and if you agree with me, you’ll vote me in again.’ And that would be what you normally do, if for example I was Chairman of a country club or a rotary club and I felt the members were not supporting me, I would resign and put myself up for re-election."

Errol also raised the case of volunteers linked to Labour helping Kamala Harris's campaign. He wrongly claimed Mr Starmer sent 100 people from the government in England to support her election campaign. At the time volunteers went over to the US, Donald Trump claimed

Tesla and Twitter/X owner Elon, who is the world's richest man, has been appointed Mr Trump’s government efficiency tsar. He clashed with Mr Starmer during the UK riots when he posted incendiary comments on social media, including that "civil war is inevitable" in our county.
