Tottenham full squad vs Ferencvaros in Europa League as Son Heung-min replacement decided

Latest Tottenham news with Ange Postecoglou having made some big decisions for his squad to face Ferencvaros in the Europa League

by · football.london

Ange Postecoglou will be without three key Tottenham players for the Europa League clash away at Ferencvaros. Spurs head into the game off the back of four consecutive victories in three different competitions with the most recent triumph arriving at Old Trafford against Manchester United.

Brennan Johnson, Dejan Kulusevski and Dominic Solanke were all on target with Spurs delivering an impressive attacking display, even with the absence of Son Heung-min. Timo Werner was the man to replace him in the starting XI for the clash with Postecoglou otherwise naming an unchanged team.

A midfield three of Rodrigo Bentancur, James Maddison and Dejan Kulusevski has been thriving in recent weeks with the latter capable of also playing out wide. His switch into a central position has left Spurs somewhat light on the wings with Wilson Odobert, like Son, also currently absent through injury.

There was hope he could recover from the hamstring issue picked up against Qarabag but he was left out of the squad to face Man United and Postecoglou has now also confirmed that he and two others have not travelled to Budapest and are thus unavailable.

"Destiny hasn't travelled," the Tottenham boss revealed on Wednesday. "Nothing significant, but didn't makes sense to bring him if he wasn't going to play. Radu is suspended and Sonny is back in London doing rehab." Radu Dragusin is suspended for the clash after picking up a red card the previous week.

As a result of those three names, that were all in the squad to face Qarabag, Postecoglou looks set to call on more youngsters. Will Lankshear and Mikey Moore have both been included in recent matchday squads with the latter putting in a bright cameo against Man United.
