Military says 47,975 terrorists surrender to troops
by Odita Sunday, Abuja · The GuardianThe Defence high command has said 47,975 terrorists and their families surrendered to troops of Operation Hadin Kai in the North East from September 2021 till date.
Director, Defence Media Operations, Maj.-Gen. Bernard Onyeuko, said this in Abuja, yesterday, while addressing newsmen on military operations between March 10 and March 24, 2022.
Onyeuko said troops remained committed, while simultaneous operational engagements were being conducted across the country. According to him, while security situation in some locations remained peaceful and calm, some other areas recorded incidents within the period.
