16 arrested by gardaí targeting organised burglary gangs

Sixteen people are to appear in courts in Dublin this morning, charged in connection with burglary and associated crimes.

Gardaí in Coolock and Raheny arrested 13 males, including teenage boys, and three women who were targeted as part of Operation Thor, set up to tackle organised burglary gangs.

They are aged between 14 and 55 and have been charged with 62 offences, including burglary, theft, criminal damage, robbery and car theft.

They are appearing before five district courts in Dublin today including Cloverhill, Swords, Balbriggan, the Children's Court and the Criminal Courts of Justice
