Man charged over 2007 fatal shooting in Limerick

A man in his 40s has been charged in connection with the fatal shooting of Noel Campion in Limerick in 2007.

Mr Campion was shot dead in the Thomondgate area of the city shortly before 11am on 26 April.

He was ambushed while riding as a pillion passenger on a motorcycle.

A man was arrested yesterday and has since been charged in connection with the investigation.

He is due to appear before a Limerick court this afternoon.
