Podcast: Limerick buses, Hutch saddles up, and poll nerds

In the latest episode of RTÉ's new General Election podcast Behind the Ballot, Fran McNulty took a look at how bus issues are dominating the chatter in Limerick.

David McCullagh and Katie Hannon also looked back on an interesting Thursday in Dublin Central as Gerard Hutch rode up on his scooter to officially submit his candidacy.

The first major poll was also released by TG4, and it looked at Galway West.

It has possibly fuelled more questions than answers - and the pair were joined by political scientist Kevin Cunningham to go through it all.

They looked at questions like do the polls matter? Do politicians themselves care about them? And could parties possibly even change their own tactics in reaction to them?
