SF's McDonald on the issues that matter to young voters
· RTE.ieSinn Féin is making a big push to appeal to young voters, but is the party's message of 'change' hitting home?
For several months, we have been asking what issues really matter to you in Election 24.
It was a question we first put to festival-goers at Electric Picnic back in August, and then to visitors to the Ploughing Championships in September.
Since then, we have also chatted to people in their 20s and 30s in Dublin, Athlone, Meath, Cork and Kilkenny.
This week, as the general election campaign entered its final stretch, we took the opportunity to put your concerns to the leaders of Sinn Féin, Fianna Fáil and Fine Gael.
In the first of those interviews, reporters Jack McCarron and Sinéad Brennan met Mary Lou McDonald on the canvass in Cabra in Dublin.
