Final weekend of canvassing ahead of general election
· RTE.ieCampaigning in the general election continues today with parties launching a range of policy proposals.
Fianna Fáil will today pledge to boost funding for sports clubs in an effort to increase participation by people with disabilities.
This is the last Sunday in this election campaign as it is about to enter its finals days ahead of polling next Friday.
Fianna Fáil will unveil its policy for sport which includes a promise to introduce a tax credit on gym membership. The party says it will increase the betting tax levy from 2% to 3% to fund the building of sports infrastructure.
The Fine Gael leader Simon Harris will be campaigning in Mayo today while the Green Party will set out one of the party's red lines on the LUAS red line in Dublin later.
Labour will launch its children's charter, and the Social Democrats will outline their workers' rights policy.
Aontú Leader Peadar Tóibín is campaigning in Cavan where the party is targeting a seat.
Micheál Martin will travel to the west where he will spend the day hitting the campaign trail across the Roscommon-Galway and Mayo constituencies.
3-seater Roscommon-Galway covers all of County Roscommon, and extends to the eastern parts of County Galway, and was established in 2016.
Meanwhile in Mayo, the retirement of the legendary poll topper Michael Ring, means the two Fíanna Fáil candidates in the 5-seater constituency will be working hard with the party leader.
They will be trying to impress some of the voters that may be looking for a new number 1 to support.
Sinn Féin leader Mary Lou McDonald will canvas with her party's candidates in Fingal East and Fingal West.
