RTÉ will provide extensive coverage of General Election 2024 across online, television and radio from the first ballot cast to the final candidate elected.

The RTÉ News app and RTÉ.ie will deliver boots on the ground updates from all 43 constituencies with live trackers dispensing the latest results from every count.

Input from journalists and observers will dissect every development alongside an interactive map and constituency profiles - that in collaboration will provide both a national and local picture as the 34th Dáil takes shape.

RTÉ Radio 1 will give listeners the early tallies, first counts and examine outcomes with a team of analysts, beginning with a special Morning Ireland programme, presented by Áine Lawlor and Gavin Jennings, broadcast live from 8am on Saturday.

Presenters Áine Kerr, Claire Byrne, Colm Ó Mongáin, Cormac Ó hEadhra, Justin McCarthy, Rachael English and Sarah McInerney will keep listeners informed through the day and night with special radio programming as seats are filled.

Television coverage of General Election 2024 will start at 9am on Saturday and be broadcast across the weekend and into Monday with Áine Lawlor, David McCullagh, Fran McNulty, Katie Hannon, Miriam O'Callaghan and Sarah McInerney breaking down and scrutinising the political landscape with discussion and political reaction.

The One O'Clock, Six One and Nine O'Clock News will provide an overview of each day's election news alongside other key stories.

A special Upfront Election 24 programme on Monday night will examine the impact of the weekend’s results and get audience reaction.

RTÉ Raidió na Gaeltachta kicks off its election coverage at 10am on Saturday with Lá an Chomhairimh in conjunction with analysis from correspondents, experts and contributors including journalist Áine Ní Chiaráin, barrister Cecelia Ní Choileáin, former county councillor Connie Ní Fhátharta, historian Cormac Ó Comhraí, RTÉ RnaG Political Correspondent Cuan Ó Seireadáin, statistics expert Donncha Ó hÉallaithe, former Government press secretary Eoin Ó Neachtain and former MEP Seán Ó Neachtain.

Nuacht RTÉ will gather insights and report the freshest election occurrences on-air and online, and RTÉ will also co-produce Vóta 2024 programmes with TG4 providing 15 hours of election coverage.

RTÉ's election coverage already began from the moment it was called, with RTÉ News providing insights from the campaign trail, analysis of developments and interviews with party leaders.
