56 people identified as part of garda Dublin riots appeal
· RTE.ieA further 14 of the 99 people highlighted by gardaí as "persons of interest" in relation to the Dublin riots last year have been identified following a public appeal over the last 24 hours, bringing to 56 the number of people identified since the appeal was made.
In a statement, gardaí said they continue to receive "a very significant ongoing public response".
Gardaí said the purpose of the appeal is to identify the "persons of interest" to either rule each individual "in or out" of the investigation.
An Garda Síochána added that they are continuing to seek assistance to identify the 43 people whose images remain on www.garda.ie.
More than 60 shops and businesses were attacked and looted, buses and garda cars burned out, transport disrupted and 13 gardaí were injured.
