'Lovely' dad-of-two dies in crash between car and motorbike

A 66-year-old biker and father of two, described as "a lovely man", died in a crash. An inquest was held into the death of Neil Vaughan in the incident near Bala.

Mr Vaughan was killed in a collision between a car and a motorbike which happened on the A4212 near Capel Celyn on the morning of Saturday, April 6. At an inquest on November 27, the coroner in Caernarfon concluded that the 66-year-old biker died from a road traffic collision.

Mr Vaughan was born and raised in Chester and after his death, his family paid tribute at the time. His widow Kiki said he was a "lovely man" and he also leaves children Karis and Keenan, reports North Wales Live.

In a statement at the time of his death his family said: "Neil was the beloved Dad to Karis and Keenan; husband to Kiki, "her lovely man" and a cherished friend to many. He was passionate about music, adventure and travel. For the latest Welsh news delivered to your inbox sign up to our newsletter

"Neil will be missed by all who knew and loved him. The family wishes to thank everyone for their kind messages, and request their privacy is respected at this difficult time."

The crash involved a car and a Mr Vaughan's motorbike on the A4212.
