Police appeal for man missing overnight in stormy weather

The 35-year-old was seen in the Newport area on Sunday night and police are appealing for help

Police are appealing for information to find man who has been missing overnight. Gareth Edwards, 35, was last seen in the Liswerry area of Newport, at around 9.30pm on Sunday, September 29.

He went missing as parts of Wales were hit by heavy rain and high winds. Gareth is described as 5ft10, of slim build and has a beard. He was last seen wearing a pink T-shirt, dark green raincoat and checkered Vans.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call us on 101 or send us a direct message on social media, quoting log reference 2400325561. A spokesperson for Gwent Police said: "Gareth is also urged to get in touch with us."
