Body found in search for missing woman

Police have confirmed that a body has been found in the search for a missing woman. Dyfed Powys Police had issued an appeal to help find a 62-year-old woman who was reported missing in the Llanwrtyd Wells area of Powys on Monday afternoon.

On Monday night, the confirmed that a body had been found during the search for the woman called Sally.

A statement from police said that formal identification has not yet taken place, but her family has been informed of the development. It added: "Our thoughts are with them at this difficult time."

A spokesperson said: "Enquiries around the circumstances surrounding the death have commenced, and anyone with information that could help the investigation is asked to contact us."
