A man twice stamped on a woman’s stomach, it was alleged at a Naas District Court sitting.

Before Naas District Court was Shane Mulligan, 32, whose address was given as 19 The Court, Ledwill Park, Kilcock, but also stated to be in custody.

He was prosecuted for assault, making a threat and stealing cigarettes and a lighter at Ballinakill, Enfield, on October 2 last.

Sgt Mary Meade said the defendant had a steel bar and the injured party was pushed. She added she was twice stamped on.
