Fundraiser to bring Kildare soldier home set up after he was 'killed in battle'

There is a goal of raising €8k and there has currently been over €2k raised

A GoFundMe has been set up to bring a Kildare soldier home who lost his life in battle while fighting for Ukraine as part of the ongoing war.
The fundraiser was set up by Rossa O'Donnell for the family of soldier Robert Deegan who was from the Curragh Camp.
"My name is Rossa O'Donnell and I am part of a community who knows the Deegan family through shared time in the Irish Defence Forces as well as being from the Curragh Camp, Co Kildare, Ireland.

"On behalf of the the Deegan family and with their permission, we are raising funds for the repatriation costs of their son Robert, who was killed tragically in battle while fighting for Ukraine as part of the ongoing war.
"Any funds raised will be used to help return Robert to his family.
"Excess funds will be donated to a charity of the family's choosing."
Rossa has a goal of raising €8k and has currently raised over €2k.
