Chainsaws among items stolen from shed in County Kildare

Three chainsaws are among a number of items which were reported stolen from a shed in County Kildare.

The burglary incident was discussed on KFM earlier today by guest Garda Brian Carroll of Newbridge Garda Station.

He explained that on Saturday, October 5 last, a shed located in Castlemitchell, Athy was broken into between 3am and 9.30am.

According to Gda Carroll, some of the tools taken include: "Two impact guns, an angle grinder, and three chainsaws included."

He concluded by urging anyone with any information in relation to the burglary to contact Athy Garda Station on 059 863 4210.

When asked by the Leinster Leader about the burglary, a garda spokesperson had this to say: "Gardaí are aware of a burglary that occurred at a property in Athy, County Kildare on October 5, 2024 between 12am and 9am.

"A number of items were taken from the property.

"No arrests have been made."

They spokesperson concluded: "Investigations are ongoing."
