Water main break causes 'major ice,' road closures

City crews are working to repair a water main break in the north end of Saskatoon.

The City of Saskatoon says a water main break on Millar Avenue north of Circle Drive will take about one day to repair — “weather permitting and barring any unforeseen circumstances.”

The breakage flooded streets and snarled up traffic on Friday afternoon, prompting the Saskatoon Police to issue a warning strongly advising drivers to find an alternate route through the city’s north end.
