Deaths prompt drug warning from Saskatoon police

Saskatchewan Coroner’s Service estimates there have been over 150 drug toxicity deaths in the province so far in 2024.

Saskatoon Police says a fatal batch of cocaine may be circulating in Saskatoon, and is warning the public to be aware of the risks.

As of Friday night, police officers were investigating an incident where they believe two people overdosed and died after taking cocaine.

Police said it’s important for people to learn the signs of an overdose, so they can protect themselves and others.
