Biker rushed to hospital after crash outside shops in Kingstanding

Police sealed off a section of the road after the crash

A biker was rushed to hospital with potentially serious injuries after a crash in Kingstanding. The collision, between the bike and a car, happened at the Kings Road and Finchley Road junction at around 7.45am today, Friday, October 10.

Paramedics treated the biker, a man, at the scene. He was taken to Heartlands Hospital.

Police sealed off part of the junction following the crash. West Midlands Police urged anyone with information about the collision to contact the force.

A West Midlands Ambulance spokesperson said: "We were called to reports of a collision at the junction of Kings Road and Finchley Road in Kingstanding at 7.45am. An ambulance was sent to the scene where, on arrival, crews discovered a car and a motorbike had been involved in a collision. The motorcyclist, a man, was treated for potentially serious injuries and conveyed to Heartlands Hospital.

A West Midlands Police spokesperson added: "We were called to the junction of Kings Road and Finchley Road just before 8am today following a collision involving a car and a motorbike. One man was taken to hospital with serious injuries, and officers remain at the scene."
