OVO is paying energy customers a free £340 in bill credit. The energy firm, which is rivalled by the likes of British Gas, EDF, EON, Octopus and more, is giving its Beyond customers up to a year of free heating for their future heat pump.

To capitalise, customers sign up to bank free heating credit via the OVO Beyond app. Customers will be able to accrue a maximum of a year’s worth of free heating over two years which they will be able to start redeeming as credit off their monthly bill when they install a new heat pump with OVO.

Mat Moakes, Chief Commercial Officer, OVO said: “We know that not everyone is ready to make the switch now, so we’re offering extra support to bank rewards and save for the future. Over half a million customers are already on the app ready to bank solar panels and EV miles, it’s one of the many ways that we’re helping households on the journey to a greener future.”

To be eligible for OVO Beyond, customers must have a smart meter and pay via Direct Debit. The offer is redeemed in the form of monthly energy bill credits of £28.46 over a maximum of 12 months (up to £341.52 total).

Terms and eligibility criteria apply, and smart meter required. In order to redeem the free heat pump heating credit, customers must purchase a heat pump directly from OVO either within the two year accrual period or during the three years thereafter.

Customers will need to be on OVO’s Heat Pump Plus tariff in order for credit to equal the maximum of 12 months free heating. Actual free months of heating obtained will depend on how many months of heat pump credit accrued, tariff and heat pump efficiency.

The offer cannot be used in conjunction with any other heat pump offer.
