by Jordan Coussins, https://www.birminghammail.co.uk/authors/jordan-coussins/ · Birmingham LiveZara McDermott is reportedly "fuming" after Pete Wicks surpassed her on Strictly Come Dancing. The ex-Love Island contestant was partnered with Graziano Di Prima in the popular dance show last year, and they were the fifth pair to be eliminated, following a dance-off against Adam Thomas and Luba Mushtuk in week six.
Sam Thompson, Zara's boyfriend, took to Instagram on Sunday (October 27) to post a comical Reel upon discovering Pete had progressed further than Zara in the contest. The caption of the post read: "When you tell Zara that Pete is going to get further than her on Strictly," In the lip sync video, Sam teases Zara in a restaurant as she humorously mouths: "Look at me in the windows to my soul, shut the f*** up," prompting Sam to write: "She's fuming".
Zara then shared the clip on her own Instagram Story, commenting: "I knew this would happen and I'll never hear the end of it."

Fans were quick to react to the funny video in the comments section, with one saying: "Both your lip syncs are always on point! " Another declared: "This is the best one yet," while a third exclaimed: "Absolutely BRILLIANT you guys! ! ! " One fan even challenged Sam to take part in Strictly next year to see if he could outdo his best friend.
"Sam you’ve gotta go on Strictly now to see who would get further – you or Pete," they penned.
During last weekend's Halloween special, Pete and his partner Jowita Przystał performed a Joker-inspired Viennese Waltz to 'That's Life' by Frank Sinatra. The duo bagged 31 points from the judges – their highest score so far.
"I go back to week one and I remember those scores and I remember how nervous you are, and you come out here this evening as the Joker with absolutely no joke when it came to the dancing," head judge Shirley Ballas commented. For the show's forthcoming Icons Week, Pete will be honouring legendary Queen singer Freddie Mercury.
Strictly Come Dancing is broadcasted on Saturdays on BBC One, while its spin-off Strictly: It Takes Two airs on weeknights on BBC Two. Both shows can be streamed on BBC iPlayer.
