Brutal stabbing in Birmingham sees police release three clear CCTV photos

A man aged in his 20s was stabbed in a 'vicious' attack in Birmingham. West Midlands Police have now issued clear images of three males who officers want to trace.

The victim was injured on Percy Road in Springfield, just after 1pm, yesterday (Thursday, November 7). He was rushed to hospital, but thankfully his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

Police have been carrying out house-to-house inquiries and capturing CCTV to help them find those responsible. They are also also aware of footage which has been circulating online, which officers have reviewed as part of their investigation.

The force have now issued CCTV pictures of three males officers want to speak to. Police said there were people in the area at the time who officers have not yet spoken to. Officers are following active lines of inquiry to identify those involved and are asking for anyone with information to contact them.

Detective Inspector Toni Holl, from the police's CID, said: "This was a vicious attack, and it’s lucky that the victim was not more seriously injured. We know there were people in the area at the time who have not yet spoken to us, and we'd ask them to come forward as soon as possible.
