The stunning Birmingham homes you can buy for the same price as £1m London hovel

The battered Clapham terrace house comes amid stunning mansions available right now for the same price in Birmingham

by · Birmingham Live

An unloved terraced house in south London has just gone on the market for a staggering £1m. The eye-watering sum comes amid the stunning mansions available right now for the same price across Birmingham.

Images on the rightmove listing for a three-bed property in Clapham show it appears dated and has stains on the walls. A number of people were shocked by the asking price with one simply writing on X: “OFFERS IN EXCESS OF ONE MILLION POUNDS.”

Another said: “That is absolutely mad. I live in a bigger, nicer terraced house than that within commuting distance of London and it's worth like a third of that.” Although the asking price is lower than the sale price of a number of houses close by. It has a larger than average private garden and no onward chain. But clearly you can get way more for your buck in Birmingham.
