by birminghammail.co.uk · Birmingham LiveAn Audi driver was arrested after police found a gun, Class A drugs and cash in a bag. Traffic officers spotted the vehicle, which had failed to stop for them a few days earlier, at around 11am on Wednesday, October 9.
They driver fled on foot after he pulled over in Beeches Road, Rowley Regis. He was caught following a chase which left two officers with minor injuries.
They recovered a handgun, ammunition, drugs and cash in a bag nearby.

West Midlands Police said: "We've recovered a gun, Class A drugs and made an arrest after stopping a car in Rowley Regis. Traffic officers yesterday (9 October) spotted a vehicle which had failed to stop for cops a few days earlier.
"The Audi was stopped in Beeches Road just after 11am but the driver ran off. After a brief footchase a man was detained nearby and two officers sustained injuries - which were thankfully not serious.
"We found the handgun – and ammunition - in a bag nearby and after a search of the car we seized drugs and a quantity of cash. A 20-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possession of a firearm, having drugs with intent to supply and assaulting two officers.
"He remains in custody for questioning."
