The funding for the vouchers has been made available to Worcestershire residents through the UK Government's Household Support Fund (HSF). Local authorities have been given money via the HSF to support residents most in need.
A spokesperson for Worcestershire County Council said: "New pension credit recipients only will receive a one off voucher of £75 which can be redeemed for cash at any Post Office. This will be sent directly by post to the resident. People on pension credit may also be eligible for other support across the whole HSF programme at county and district level if they meet the relevant criteria."
The local authority has asked people to contact their Citizens Advice office or DIAL South Worcestershire to apply for the vouchers. For more information on the vouchers, visit worcestershireadvicenetwork.org.uk.
The £75 vouchers are being advertised through the Worcestershire Advice Network, which is a partnership of local agencies. Those eligible are pensioners, people with disabilities or a long term health condition and carers of any age.
