BBC Strictly Come Dancing fans fume over 'unfair' result as week four spoiler leaks

Strictly Come Dancing fans have been left fuming as the results for week four of the BBC show were leaked - with viewers saying the same thing about the axe

Strictly Come Dancing enthusiasts were united in their reaction as week four spoilers hit the internet with many expressing they "weren't expecting" the outcome.

Every week, an insider from the Strictly studios shares the results with spoiler website StrictlySpoiler.com, managed by Dave Thorp. Since the results show is taped immediately after Saturday's live show and not broadcast live the following day, the leaked information is usually spot on.

The programme takes serious measures to conceal that the results are recorded on the same day, including a complete costume change for all participants and references to "yesterday" and "last night" throughout the show.

As per tradition, the blog advised those upset with the spoilers to direct their "complaints to the BBC" instead of the spoiler site but after discovering who was in the dance off and who got the boot, viewers chose to air their grievances on social media.

One viewer commented on X: "Just seen the Strictly spoiler and tbh was not expecting that. Seems unfair," reports the Mirror.

Another shared the sentiment: "I was about to be disappointed that there was no Strictly spoiler but then Dave came through! ".

Yet another fan remarked: "I agree with the result. The right couple was saved," while someone else concurred: "Right choice to go."

This follows a delay in the spoiler release on Saturday night (October 12), which had fans worried. Dave gave a heads up: "Just a heads up that it could be very late with the spoiler tonight or even tomorrow as no moles have come forward as yet.

"No moles never means no spoiler and I will post the spoiler as soon as I know so no need to bombard me with messages on the socials asking if I've heard yet!"

Meanwhile, frustration mounts at the BBC over spoilers, with an insider expressing discontent: "Enough is enough, it isn't fair on the fans, they look forward to tuning in to see who will be dancing together."

In terms of performance, Dr Punam Krishan, along with her dance partner Gorka Marquez, found themselves at the bottom of the leaderboard last night, while TV favourite Nick Knowles wasn't far ahead, scoring 21 points.

On a brighter note, Tasha Ghouri and Aljaz Skorjanec impressed everyone with a near-perfect score of 39 points, leaving Jamie Borthwick and Wynne Evans just behind them with a respectable score of 34.
