Gogglebox star Pete Sandiford 'in trouble with wife' after making 'drunk' purchase

The Channel 4 star revealed he had 'accidentally' made a large purchase without wife Paige knowing

Gogglebox star Pete Sandiford confessed he was probably going to be 'in trouble' with his wife after revealing a large purchase he had made without her knowledge. The Channel 4 star, who appears alongside sister Sophie, confessed on the latest episode that he had bought a car after having a few drinks.

"Oh no," Pete could be heard saying. When asked what was wrong by Sophie, he replied: "I think I've accidentally bought a three-wheel van."

He explained: "Well I'd had a couple of beers last night." A stunned Sophie then asked: "Oh dear, does Paige know?"

Pete quickly rang his wife but got straight through to her voicemail. Before he could say a word, Sophie yellew 'Pete's bought a three wheel van' before bursting into laughter.

"Idiot!" Pete chided her. "What are you doing? I wouldn't have worded it like that at all! No you've dumped me in the s*** now."

He later posted a photograph of the three-wheel vehicle on his Instagram page. He wrote: "She's here!"

He also said a 'big thank you' to the seller 'for letting me buy this headache off him', adding a crying with laughter emoji.

Pete married his girlfriend Paige Yeomans in 2021, and they welcomed son Jimmy the same year. In 2023 they welcomed a daughter, called Eva Sylvie Sandiford.

Pete has been on the show since 2017 when they joined for the tenth series. Away from the show he owns a building company.

The Sandifords also have some famous comedy connections as Pete is the great-nephew of Chuckle Brothers Paul and Barry.
