The Household Support Fund (HSF) has reopened in most regions and will operate until March ends. But authorities at the local level caution that they could exhaust their reserves sooner than anticipated, suggesting applicants should not delay.
Certain councils are already disbursing funds, with varying amounts allocated depending on the area, but birmingham-city-council>Birmingham City Council has verified it's issuing £200 to those facing hard times.
The UK Government provides insight: "You may be able to get help with essential costs from your local council. This is sometimes known as 'the Household Support Fund'. This could help if you're struggling to afford things like: energy and water bills, food and essential items."
