Six people injured after Bristol Road South crash as teen arrested over dangerous driving

Six people were injured in a crash in Northfield in the early hours of yesterday morning. An 18-year-old was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving in connection with the two-car collision.

The male was also held on suspicion of drink/drug-driving, taking a vehicle without consent and driving without insurance. It followed the incident on Bristol Road South, at around 1.30am, on Saturday, November 23.

The road was temporarily closed while paramedics treated the injured. West Midlands Police are appealing for witnesses.

In a statement, police said: "We’ve arrested an 18-year-old on suspicion of dangerous driving after a collision in Birmingham. The man, from Northfield in Birmingham, was arrested as part of our investigation into a two-car crash that happened on Bristol Road South, at around 1.30am (Saturday 23 November).

"Six people, including the arrested man, were injured in the incident. The road was temporarily closed while paramedics treated the injured. The suspect was also arrested on suspicion of drink/drug-driving, taking a vehicle without consent and driving without insurance.
