BBC Strictly Come Dancing's Tasha Ghouri fights back tears as Claudia Winkleman says 'I saw your face'

The Love Island contestant danced last on the live show, and made a remarkable impression

Strictly Come Dancing's Tasha Ghouri was visibly emotions as she received the first 10s of the 2024 series for an incredible routine. She was dancing the Charleston with partner Aljaz Skorjanec to the sound of Unhealthy by Anne-Marie, featuring Shania Twain.

The judges and audience alike were blown away by the performance. Head judge Shirley Ballas remarked it was a 'totally professional' performance.

When it came to the scores, the former Love Island star was visibly emotional as she received the first 10s of the series - from three of the judges. The pair scored a near-perfect score of 39 points out of 40, receiving the top score from Shirley, Anton Du Beke and Motsi Mabuse, with Craig scoring a nine.

Shirley told the couple: "It's never too early for that 10 from Shirley."

After the scores Tasha was fighting back tears in the BBC studio as she was overcome with emotion. Host Claudia Winkleman comforted the star as she said: "I know it's a lot and I saw your face."

The scores put Tasha and Aljaz at the top of the leaderboard again after they also topped it with their rumba last week. Fans were amazed by the routine and took to X to comment. One wrote: "Definitely saved the best dance til last can we just talk about this charleston from tasha and aljaz it was absolutely brilliant and fully deserved three tens from the judges."

A fourth added: "Tasha deserves the world I’m SO happy for her." And a fifth wrote: "Tasha is the absolute most deserving of 3 10’s. she is BRILLIANT #strictly."
