Amanda Owen relieved after narrowly dodging disaster as she says 'good grief'
by James Rodger, https://www.facebook.com/jamesrodgerjournalist · Birmingham LiveAmanda Owen has been warned by her Our Farm Next Door co-star as the series continues. Amanda dodged a concussion after a ladder incident at the family's Anty John's farmhouse during a recent edition of the Channel 4 series.
Amanda and ex-husband Clive star alongside their children in Our Farm Next Door. During the show, Amanda roped in friend and neighbour Kelly to help her secretly furnish the farmhouse with Christmas decorations ahead of the festive season.
During the show, strong winds blew a hard hat off Kelly’s head as she climbed up a ladder, and the head gear just missed Amanda as it plummeted to the ground. As Kelly climbed a ladder to set up the Christmas decor, she called out: “Just go steady guys because it’s so windy.”

“Did you see that?” Amanda asked, adding: “I was nearly injured by a hard hat there! ‘Doof’, good grief!” Discussing some unique benefits of the purchase, Amanda told OK! Magazine: "I feel blessed to have been able to buy it as it was such an amazing opportunity to buy another farm that had plenty of land 30 acres and common grazing rights, which is quite unusual nowadays."
Describing the daunting task ahead, she said: "So, there was a lot of paperwork to do before we could even get started. It was stressful, and there were times when you'd stand among the rubble thinking, 'OMG, where do I even start?' It was overwhelming."
Clive confessed: "It's been a struggle all winter with this roof. And we're still struggling." Amanda and Clive hope to transform the Grade II listed building into a cosy, two-bedroom abode, complete with a living room, kitchen, shower room and utility.
Amanda took ownership of the property in March 2020 with dreams of passing it on to their large brood.
