Victim suffers nasty facial injuries in Solihull after trouble 'linked to FA Cup game'

West Midlands Police said a a 16-year-old boy was kicked in the face and suffered injuries to his mouth. Officer suspected it "may be linked" to the FA Cup fixture ahead of the kick-off between Solihull Moors and Maidstone United in the town.
The force urged any witnesses to contact officers with footage of the trouble. No arrest had been made and inquiries were ongoing.

In a statement, police said: "We're appealing for witnesses and any footage after a teenager sustained nasty facial injuries in Solihull town centre. Disorder took place near the junction of High Street and New Road at around 1.30pm on Saturday, November 2.
"A 16-year-old boy was kicked in the face and suffered injuries to his mouth. We've been reviewing CCTV and know there were a number of people in the area at the time who may have vital information.
