This is the moment police arrest a 'cyclist thief' as he's tackled to the floor as police target a string of shoplifters. Plain clothes officers have recovered £50,000-worth of stolen goods.

Warwickshire Police's Investigation Standards and Outcomes (ISO) team made 255 arrests for shoplifting between November last year and September. It also put prolific repeat offenders away for over 16 years.

The force has shared a video montage above of some of their top arrests of shoplifters in the region during the Safer Business Action Week. One shows a cyclist being hauled to the floor despite police asking nicely to stop! He is heard saying: "**** hell man!" Other video clips show people being arrested on streets and from cars.
