BBC Crimewatch Live appeal to find Ajay Soni, 32, in Digbeth attempted murder probe

Detectives hunting a man in connection with an attempted murder probe have issued a TV appeal. The hunt for Ajay Soni featured on the BBC's Crimewatch Live yesterday, Tuesday, October 1.

Soni is wanted by police after three men were attacked in Digbeth in May 2021. West Midlands Police said the 32-year-old, also known as Ajay Malhi, remained at large. A picture of Soni in Digbeth has been circulated several times by the force.

The image showed Soni with long curly hair and a beard. Birmingham Police wrote on Facebook last night: "We're still searching for Ajay Soni, also known as Ajay Malhi.

"Today, Soni featured on BBC CrimewatchLive which is back on our screens every weekday morning for three weeks. The 32-year-old is wanted in connection with an attempted murder in Digbeth in May 2021 in which three men were attacked.
