Birmingham police probing 'female with weapon report' make arrest after huge drugs find

Police said they were alerted to Soho Road, in Handsworth, after a report of a female with suspected weapon

A woman was arrested after police were alerted to a report of a 'female with a suspected weapon' in Birmingham. West Midlands Police later found a large quantity of both Class A and B drugs.

Police were called to Soho Road, in Handsworth, yesterday, Sunday, September 29. Officers quickly located a suspect and made an arrest. Searches were later carried out.

A woman remains in custody. Police inquiries continue.

Taking to X, formerly Twitter, Soho Road Police posted last night: "#arrest, the team were out on #sohoroad today a report of a female with suspected weapon. Officers have located and detained her. Searches completed and a large quantity of both class A and B seized. One in custody #notonourpatch #proactive #community."
