ITV Big Brother 2024 housemate says 'he's gutted' after shock eviction

Ryan Bradshaw has become the first housemate to be evicted from 'Big Brother' since the 2024 series kicked off earlier this month, and he left the house in Friday's (11.10.24) episode

After the latest eviction shocker from 'Big Brother', Ryan Bradshaw, the 28 year old marketing guru from Blackpool, became the first contestant to leave the house since the series commenced this month. Post-eviction, when interviewed by hosts AJ Odudu and Will Best on Friday night, he admitted: "I am gutted to be fair. But someone's gotta go first time, so it's one of them."

Facing off eviction against barber Dean Smith, pork salesman Nathan King, and the series' unique personality Baked Potato – dental assistant Rosie Williams who adopted her new moniker in an early challenge – Ryan was forced to say his goodbyes. Initially a member of the blue team with privileges within the main 'Big Brother' abode, Ryan traded places with Martha Church after a lost challenge, relegating him to life in the storeroom with the red team members.

Expressing his feelings about his departure, Ryan said: "I'm mesmerised to be fair. I'm obviously gutted to be out first, but it's one of them. Someone's gotta do it! I was buzzing [to be in the blue team] but I said that store room looked all right, so be careful what you wish for! " He also described the discomfort of the store room environment, recounting, "It was hell in there! It was bad. I slept on like a little camp bed."

Following another defeat in a challenge, Ryan found himself facing potential eviction and confessed the only "saving grace" was not being nominated by fellow housemates. He said: "I was gutted to be fair, it was a horrible feeling. The only saving grace was that it wasn't the housemates that put me up, it was just bad decision after bad decision."

Due to how events unfolded, Ryan lacked the opportunity to nominate others, yet he revealed if given the chance, he would have chosen forensic psychologist Ali Bromley—whom he barely interacted with—and Thomas Atkinson, the slightly "irritating" amputee footballer, for elimination.
