Erdington arrests after foot chase as police stop cloned Nissan Juke 'used to steal other cars'

Traffic police stopped a cloned Nissan Juke which had been stolen and 'used to steal other vehicles' in Erdington. West Midlands Police said it made two arrests after a foot chase.

Officers pre-emptively stung the vehicle to prevent a pursuit. Police said both occupants had decamped.

Two people were later arrested. Police inquiries are ongoing.

The incident was shared on social media. Taking to X, formerly Twitter, WMP Traffic posted: "#RoadCrimeTeam officers saw this cloned Nissan Juke in Erdington after it had been used to steal other vehicles. It was pre-emptively stung to prevent a pursuit and both occupants were arrested after a decamp and foot chase then checks found it was stolen as well."
