Moment police ram yob driver after high speed chase through busy city streets

The dramatic scene unfolded as astonishing footage caught Aspen Williams reversing into the patrol vehicle that had penned him into a spot. .
The 21-year rogue aggressively barged his way out of the car park in Scraptoft, Leics. , and bolted on May 17. Police dashcam captured Williams hurtling along packed streets, dodging death with a biker and causing havoc for other road users.
Williams was seen multiple times swerving onto the opposite lane to dart past vehicles, in a brazen bid to shake off the coppers. After a breath-taking three-minute sprint down the road, Williams zoomed into Scraptoft Lane, threw his car into reverse, and aimed for the police car once more.

This time the cops surged forward, slamming into the grey BMW as Williams bolted, only to be decked by the impact as he tried to escape on foot.
He was clapped in irons and later coughed to dangerous driving and skipping out on insurance at Leicester Crown Court.
On Tuesday (10/12) the Leicester lad copped a six-month sentence suspended for 18 months and scored a one-year ban from the roads.
Alongside, he's got to slog through 25 rehab action requirement days and 120 hours unpaid labour.
Sergeant Steve Jackson, from Leicestershire Police Roads Policing Unit (RPU), commented: "Williams knew exactly what he was doing when he rammed the police car and then drove off."
"He had no regard for the other road users and drove at double the speed limit, completed inappropriate overtakes and ignored keep left bollards."
"Officers within the unit are highly skilled in their field and are trained to pursue vehicles – sometimes at great speed, putting themselves in danger to reach a safe resolution."
"We expect an element of risk in our job but when a suspect deliberately drives towards a police car that is totally unacceptable."
"Williams put officer’s lives at risk, and it was lucky no one was injured during the incident. We are pleased he pleaded guilty to the offences."!
Detective Constable James Highton said: "It was clear from Williams actions that he had no qualms in causing damage to the police vehicles and potential injury to the officers in those cars.
"During the interview he answered no comment to all the questions but the evidence against him was strong enough and he had no choice but to plead guilty."
