Man charged with string of burglaries at schools and Derbyshire County Cricket club
by Martin Naylor · Derbyshire LiveA 36-year-old man has been charged in connection with burglaries at two schools and Derbyshire County Cricket Club, all in Chaddesden. Derbyshire Police arrested Levan Lake on Friday November 1, after they received information about the four break-ins across the city.
He has now been charged with burgling Derby County Cricket Club on September 22; St Giles Spencer Academy, in Hampshire Road, on October 31; Derwent Community School, in St Mark’s Road, on October 31 and the Age UK charity shop in Wiltshire Road on October 17.
The defendant, of no fixed address, appeared at Southern Derbyshire Magistrates’ Court on November 2, when the matter was adjourned and he was remanded in custody, a force spokesman said.
