Derby city centre footbridge closed off after teenage girl assaulted
by Louis Corbett · Derbyshire LiveA bridge in Derby city centre has been cordoned off after a teenage girl was assaulted. Police were called to the incident on the footbridge near St Alkmund's Way in the early hours of Friday, November 15.
The bridge is currently closed with marked police cars at either end as inquiries continue. A spokesperson for Derbyshire police said: "We were called to reports that a teenage girl had been assaulted in Derby city centre in the early hours of this morning – close to the St Alkmund’s Way footbridge. Enquiries are ongoing and officers remain at the scene."
