Reforms to disability benefit assessments are still set to come into force soon, the new Labour Party government has confirmed.

A DWP Ombudsman report earlier this year encouraged the government to pay out compensation to women affected by historic injustices in the State Pension.

Proposals will be developed to overhaul the current system of disability payments "so that it promotes and enables employment among as many people as possible"
