GAM to purchase presidential form for Emefiele

by · The Guardian

Green Alliance Movement (GAM), a group urging Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Governor, Mr. Godwin Emefiele, to contest for the 2023 Presidential Election, yesterday, offered to purchase the expression of interest and nomination form for him, no matter what it costs.

The convener and national leader of the group, Mr. Wale Fapounda, and his members stormed Asaba, the Delta State capital to “honestly compel” the apex bank governor to accept to contest the 2023 presidential elections under the platform of the All Progressives Congress.

Fapounda, flanked by the National Legal Adviser of GAM, Akin Osomo, Women Leader and Director of Mobilisation, Angela Ajufor, said the group would persuade Emefiele until he accepts to run for presidency

He said: “Emefiele stands above other presidential contestants and has what it takes to fix Nigeria’s problems. Therefore, we the Green Alliance Movement is begging and calling on Dr. Godwin Emefiele to run for the presidency come 2023.”

“We are also begging other Nigerians to help in begging Emefiele to accept to run for presidency. We will pick up his interest form on his behalf. The era of leaving President seat for all comers affair is over. Nigerians welcomed and accepted Emefiele to run for the seat because Emefiele is a detribalised man.”
