AFP (YANGON) - Myanmar’s State Administration Council (SAC) Chairman has held talks with Premier Li Qiang of key ally China on the civil war roiling his country, state media said on Nov 7, during his first visit to the country since seizing power in a 2021 military takeover. Senior General Min Aung Hlaing told Mr Li at a meeting in the south-western city of Kunming that the military was ready for peace if armed groups would engage, according to an account of the meeting in the Global New Light of Myanmar (GNLM).
