U.S. intelligence agencies warn Trump of Iran threat, two assassination attempts made, law enforcement working to protect him.

The Republican presidential candidate's campaign made the assertion Tuesday night, in a statement that painted the plans 'as an effort to destabilize and sow chaos in the United States.'

Intelligence has identified that Iranian threats have "heightened in the past few months" and US officials are working to protect Trump, the campaign says.

A campaign spokesperson said the former president was briefed on “real and specific threats from Iran” to kill him and to destabilize the November election.

"He will let nothing stop him or get in his way to fight for the American people and to make America great again," the campaign said.
