Lord Goldsmith claimed 'violent groups' have become 'untouchable and emboldened' after officers failed to do anything during a demonstration on Friday.

Julie Bindel said she was told by two Metropolitan Police officers that a 'transgender man' from Holland had reported one of her social media posts.

In an apparent climb down, the Prime Minister urged the police to 'concentrate on what matters most to their communities', rather than being drawn into 'non-crime hate incidents'.
