Myanmar faces humanitarian crisis with over 18 million in need of aid: IFRC
Over 18 million people in Myanmar require humanitarian assistance due to ongoing conflict, poverty, and the aftermath of natural disasters, the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) announced on December 9. According to IFRC, severe floods and landslides in over 70 townships during September affected more than 1.1 million people, exacerbating existing humanitarian challenges.
