Are you happy living in Canada?

Canada has found itself ranked 15th out of 146 countries on the World Happiness Report 2022.

Based on the World Gallup Poll as the primary source of data, the report ranks countries based on three main factors: life evaluations, positive emotions and negative emotions.

Respondents were asked to evaluate their current life as a whole using the mental image of a ladder, with the best possible life for them as a 10 and worst possible as a 0. Canada averaged 7.025.

Finland landed in first, followed by Denmark in second and Iceland in third. Switzerland came fourth followed by the Netherlands in fifth.

Luxembourg ranked sixth, with Sweden seventh. Norway took the eighth spot, with Israel ranked ninth. New Zealand rounded out the top 10.

The United States and the United Kingdom came in right behind Canada coming in at 16 and 17 place.
